Imagine you’re trying to explain Conan Doyle’s form using Danyte’s article as evidence. Make a list of 5 different key points she makes. These could be points about repeated types of characters, activities, plot points, formula, or anything else you think is central to her observations. Then, using “The Adventures of the Speckled Band,” discuss how these key features are demonstrated by this particular Conan Doyle story. Quote specific passages from the “The Speckled Band” and then comment on the passages to help demonstrate your points from Step 1.
