Econometrics Report for Phase 2 due July 30th (Friday) by 11:59 PM. Hand in a double-spaced typewritten description in outline form (or using bullets) of your data, addressing the questions detailed below (2 page maximum, not including graphs or tables). The results of your econometric model will be no better than the data used to estimate it. Hence, data are an essential component of your model, and obtaining a relevant and quality set of data is a critical component of your project. As you will or have concluded, there is an abundance of data available for use in this project. The difficulty is to make sure that you find data that is of high quality and relevant to the question(s) you are investigating. Based on what you have had approved from Phase 1, for Phase 2 you will need to address the following, related to the data that you have identified for use in your project 1. What are the sources of data – identify these with enough detail so that they can be found by someone not involved in your project. 2. Discuss the variables you plan to use and how they relate to the concepts they measure. 3. Provide a listing of the data and summary /descriptive statistics for the data to be used in the model (e.g., number of observations, mean, standard deviation, minimum and maximum). 4. Discuss any known or potential limitations to your data. 5. Other?
