I’m working on a Nursing question and need guidance to help me study. Effectiveness, correctly performed and a well thought-out statistic of a research play a crucial role on the researchers/producers and the potential consumers. (Mellis, 2017). Statistical and clinical significance, are like sentinel event which triggers a focused review and root cause analysis. By definition, statistical significance is used to describe results of an event which is believed to have happened and not by chance. Clinical significance is not only shown in medical settings but others where it can have the chance to be critiqued more rigorously. Clinical significance also, describes the result of a course of treatment or intervention in a way that’s quantifiable and has produced genuine outcomes therefore has the potential of influencing behavior of both provider and the intended subject. One example for safe-sleep interventions could be focusing on breaking down barriers such as room-sharing versus bed-sharing. Participants from at risk population will be targeted/sorted and grouped into 2-tiers to test the effectiveness of the proposed intervention and weighed against a control taking into consideration cltural baurriers and infants at higher risk like preterm birth. Results from this provide a clear sense if methods promoted compliance or applicable in similar situation at different settings.
