Submit your Goal assignment here. Remember, it should be 3 to 5 pages, double-spaced, 12-point font. I am asking myself two questions when I am reading your paper: 1) did you read the book and 2) did you blow off the assignment? You can guess how I should be able to answer those questions.Any topic is acceptable as long as I can answer the questions above (with one exception – see below). Common topics include: 1) a critique of the novel format as a teaching tool, 2) tying elements from the book to your own work experiences (or life experiences), and 3) showing how the book shows linkages between operations and other functional areas of business. I have received many uncommon papers as well: 1) a feminist critique of the book, 2) a deconstruction of the text, and 3) a simple log/diary of the reader’s thoughts at the end of each chapter, as a few examples. The only thing I don’t want to see is a “Cliff’s Notes/Reader’s Digest Condensed” version of the book. Your paper should do more than just summarize the text. Obviously, you can still refer to events in the book, but only to achieve/prove/illustrate some other point that you are making in your essay. This is a pass-fail assignment, so it is simply graded as 0-1. the book name is Goldratt, Eliyahu and Jeff Cox, The Goal: A Process of Ongoing Improvement, Second edition or later, North River Press. I will post the assignment I have done
