The assignment is to write a biography of an American who was a public figure, an elected official or one of some significant accomplishments. Persons like Martin Luther King, Malcom X and Susan B. Anthony are examples of public figures. The paper cannot be on a business, sports or entertainment figure.This is a research paper, so it must have research. Works citied page and references in the paper are a must. Please use all sources in the works cited page and not just one.Please do not write in first person and no thesis statement should be prepared.Be very careful about using other people’s work. Quote them and you are fine.A topic, or one very close to the suggested ones, must be selected from the list distributed in class. A form getting approval for the topic from the teacher will be submitted in class and should be returned as soon as possible.
