As written, the wording of OSHA laws can be tough to decipher. If interpreted incorrectly, it can cost you money in fines and more importantly, loss of life or injuries to workers. OSHA is there to help you interpret the law and will respond to requests for clarification. In this DB, go to the OSHA Standard Interpretations web page and search for a heat or cold related interpretation note. Your search words could be ‘heat stress’, ‘cold’, or search for another word or phrase. Choose one interpretation letter applicable to extreme temperature hazards and describe the question and answer in your own words. Then, compare the interpretation with the standard as written and discuss how easy it is to understand. Would you have had a similar question or do you have new questions after reading the standard? (Do not choose a letter reviewed by a classmate, but extend the discussion and add new information.) Provide the link to your interpretation letter. The Standard Number will be presented near the top of the page on the interpretation letter. Click on the standard number (for example 1904.7) and then click the document type ‘Regulations (Standards-29CFR) to view the standard as written. Alternatively, you can search for the standard in the search box at the top right of the page.OSHA Standard Interpretations web pagehttps://www.osha.gov/laws-regs/standardinterpretat…Note: must be 200 words

The color of law Essay prompt : African Americans and Housing Discrimination Having read The Color of Law, you are now becoming an expert on housing discrimination in the United States. You have been appointed to a commission on housing and must determine whether the federal government is responsible for finding a solution or remedy for the lasting effects of housing discrimination against African Americans. Rothstein makes a powerful case in arguing that it is our government’s responsibility, so if you want to take the easier route, one needs to just choose what you feel are his strongest reasons and paraphrase them in your own words. If you want to argue the government should not attempt to find a remedy or solution, you should look at some of the arguments and his answers in the frequently asked questions section. Regardless of your position, you should address issues like restrictive covenants, exclusionary zoning laws, blockbusting, redlining and some of the key Supreme Court decisions and the Civil War amendments. Keep in mind that the focus of the essay is on why or why not offer a remedy. You can discuss specific solutions in the conclusion. You are certainly welcome to bring in some of the solutions that Rothstein proposes in the chapter “Considering Fixes” or you can come up with your own remedy. The essay must be a minimum of four pages, following MLA format guidelines.

There are many challenges faced when creating an inclusive classroom, but there are also many steps that can be taken in order to make sure that inclusion works for everyone involved. One important aspect of creating an inclusive classroom is to develop collaborative relationships. Scrugg’s states, “Collaborating with general education teachers and administrators, and demonstrating the utility of the skills special educators can bring, can help improve the process” (Scruggs, 2017, p. 292).  This collaboration between the teachers and administration can make sure that everyone is on the same page to ensure the student with disabilities is getting the maximum amount of inclusion. Draper also adds, “developing relationships with other professionals, parents, and students themselves as collaborators can assist you in working with students with disabilities” (Draper, 2018, p. 26). This builds on the importance of developing these collaborative connections, but it also adds the idea of involving the parents and other students. By building these collaborative relationships with all these people, one can accomplish the ultimate goal of providing the best education for the student with disabilities and creating an inclusive classroom.  Meaningful Connections: Making Inclusion Work by Draper, Ellary A. I need support with this Nursing question so I can learn better. Discuss the standard(s) of care to which the parties will be held in this case scenario. How will the standards of care and your state’s Nurse Practice Act be applied in the courts if the case is sued? Case Scenario SK, age 61, went to the hospital with what she thought was a bad cold, and was admitted with a diagnosis of pneumonia. Following admission, she became increasingly feverish and short of breath, but her family’s calls for help went unanswered. In fact, her daughter was unable to find anyone when she went to the nurses’ station looking for help. The patient eventually stopped breathing, and someone finally responded to the family’s desperate and frantic calls for help. SK was successfully resuscitated, but sustained brain damage due to oxygen deprivation. She was left unable to walk, talk, or care for herself. Because of nurse understaffing in the hospital, her assigned RN had not assessed her often enough and did not monitor her oxygen level. There were 41 other patients on this unit. Although the hospital’s own staffing standards called for five registered nurses and two licensed practical nurses to staff this unit, only three registered nurses were on duty. Records for the unit in question indicated that the hospital failed to meet its own staffing standards for 51 out of 59 days before this incident.

Instructions Assignment: Terror Management Theory in Practice Selecting a recent terror event, one occurring with the last five (5) years, examine the practicality of the terror management theory (TMT). In the opening of your work, provide an overview of the TMT, noting the critical aspects of the theory, to demonstrate a clear understanding of what the theory is and how it can be applied in various circumstances. Next, explore your selected terror event, discussing the ways in which the TMT might be applied to improving the understanding of the survivors’ coping and recovery following the terror event. In addressing the applicability of the TMT to the selected event, consider the survivors’ cognitive, social, cultural, and intellectual conditions as factors of influence that might skew perceptions of death and survival. Discuss, with detail and clear examination of the available scholarly resources, why these factors should be examined in the discussion and how, or if, they affect disaster behavioral health outcomes. As you wrap up your work, briefly discuss the appropriateness of the use of the TMT as it compares to other theories attempting to rationalize survivor thoughts and behaviors following terror events. Select a single theory upon which you will make the contrast, clearly identifying the foundational tenants of the theory, making a solid case for which theory is most appropriate.
