One of the most difficult interview questions to answer is “Tell me about yourself.”  It is awkward to think about what information the person is really hoping to hear.  It is important to be prepared to answer this question.  You also need to be able to answer this question when you meet someone with whom you want to network.  One way to prepare for this type of question and situation is to prepare a Personal Introduction.  This could also be called a 30 second commercial, 2 minute commercial, or elevator speech.  The implication is that you have about 30 seconds to 2 minutes while riding an elevator with someone to tell them about yourself.  So what are you going to say? Things that you may want to include in your personal introduction/commercial: Education Qualifications Job related skills Experience Career goals You will want to write this out and add it to your portfolio.  Be sure to review your personal introduction/commercial on your way to a job fair, interview, networking event.  You will also want to think about ways to modify your commercial depending on the situation.  You may want to focus on one or two things like education and career goals.  You want to be prepared to answer the question of “Tell me about yourself” or “What do you do?” but you do not want to sound rehearsed and programmed like you are reading a paper.  It needs to sound natural and comfortable so you want to be comfortable with what you have written.Â

In 2013, Target Corporation was hacked. Credit and debit card data of 40 million of Target’s customers were exposed. Hackers reportedly infiltrated Target via access from an outside vendor, Fazio Mechanical. Often, CIOs will deal with outside vendors who ask for access or need to access some of their company’s data. Shortly after Target was hacked, the organization has hired you, a risk management expert, to address their handling of Fazio Mechanical’s access to Target’s network and data. Based on this scenario, address the following in a five- to eight-page paper:Analyze current company protocol(s) and draft new protocols you would use to reduce Target’s liability from non-permitted access to their network and data via outside vendors.Explain how the protocol(s) would reduce the risk of liability to Target.Explain whether or not Target can ethically impose a protocol(s) on the internal operations of an outside vendor so that their internal operations more easily conform to Target’s security protocols and internal operations, with the overall intention of reducing Target’s liability.Explain whether Target or Fazio Mechanical is more at fault for exposing Target’s customers’ data, providing rationale(s) for your decision. The Questions of Liability: Critique of the Target® Hack paperMust be five to eight double-spaced pages (1500-2400 words) in length (not including title and references pages) and formatted according to APA style

(1) In the introduction, you should also highlight the unprecedented fiscal and monetary policy response. (You can even list some of the most important fiscal and monetary policy measures). You talk about the rise in national debt and the growing uncertainty about inflation, but these are mere results of the policy response.(2) In the section, where you discuss demand shocks, you can also mention the rise in (precautionary) saving. I think you can provide more data about the impact on various industries (e.g., the most affected ones). You can also mention the effect on the earnings of technology companies. You can even provide some data on earnings.(3) In the section about the labor market, you should discuss unemployment and labor force participation. You can mention some demographics (e.g., men vs. women), the effect of school closures on employment, etc.(4) Provide more details about the fiscal (expanded unemployment insurance, the CARES act, the Paycheck Protection Program,…) and the monetary (drop in the federal funds rate, quantitative easing, forward guidance, multiple facilities to backstop funding for U.S. companies, banks, and local governments) (5) You can include a couple of additional graphs, e.g., you can report unemployment and/or initial claims, (possibly) labor force participation in the section about the labor market, Fed’s purchases of securities when talking about monetary policy, etc. (see, e.g., https://fred.stlouisfed.org/)

After you have completed the regression model in Module 1, you can start this assignment by creating a new tab in this Module file. Regression analysis is widely used in finance research. One of the applications is estimating a firm’s beta. You have learned the concept of beta from Principles of Finance. Beta measures a firm’s systematic risk, it measures how a company’s stock return react to the broad market index’s return at the same time. If beta is higher than 1, it indicates that a firm is riskier than the market, and it will yield higher than average return when market is up and lower than average return when market is down. To roughly measure beta, we can use regression analysis, by regressing a firm’s historical return on market index’s historical return simultaneously. Let’s estimate the beta of Cisco (Ticker: CSCO), listed on Nasdaq. Use Yahoo Finance, download Cisco’s historical monthly stock prices for the last 10 years (Time period 1/1/2011 – 12/31/2020) and calculate holding period returns every month. Holding period return = (Ending price / Beginning price) – 1 Use Yahoo Finance, download Nasdaq index’s historical monthly prices for the past 10 years (Time period 1/1/2011 – 12/31/2020) and calculate holding period returns every month. Holding period return = (Ending price / Beginning price) – 1 Run a regression. Y variable is Cisco’s holding period returns. X variable is Nasdaq’s holding period returns during the same period.Â

Please locate one article, published within the last six years (nothing older than 2015) about cultural pluralism or diversity, equity, and inclusion and the institutions of social service (public service).   Part 2: in 2-3 paragraphs discuss these two questions 1) how the article that you have located is related to the institution of social services (public services) and diversity, equity, and inclusion (cultural pluralism), and 2) how the article supplies evidence for the ratings that your group will be recording for the institution of social services (public services) on the Report Card Project.

POS2041 – American Federal GovernmentYou must post at least one response for 2 out of 3 topics. Some observers express concern about high reelection rates for incumbent members of Congress and have advocated for term limits as a way to formally remove longtime members of Congress. Why do you think these proposals for term limits are being advanced? Are there advantages to having long-serving members of Congress in office (e.g., when dealing with an entrenched bureaucracy)? What do recent election cycles say about the need for term limits? Are there other ideas for systemic reform such that challengers are placed on a more equal footing with incumbents?Given that most presidential powers are delegated and informal, the president’s ability to shape American politics is largely contingent on public support. To what extent do flagging political support or declining poll numbers hamper the president’s ability to lead Congress and the nation? Are there areas where this fact will be of little consequence? Discuss the suitability of public opinion polls for conferring a mandate on the president.Consider the positive and negative effects of profit in the context of several different areas of public bureaucracy. What is gained and what is lost by privatizing functions such as education policy, trash removal, criminal incarceration, and national defense? How might privatization affect the constitutional rights of citizens who deal with the private companies?
