The Small Business Interview is meant to offer a “real life” learning experience for students. It starts with selecting a subject to interview, and it needs to be domestic (U.S.) small to medium sized business and not a relative. Any exceptions to this must be approved by the instructor. It is strongly suggested that students use this to further their career aspirations, i.e. interviewing someone that is already in a business or industry that the student wishes to pursue. This will make the assignment more interesting and practical.Students need to prepare for this interview by developing a brief set of questions that can guide the conversation.
